There are about 3 bazillion fonts on the market including mine. Many feature exotic ligatures and scads of alternate glyphs. Many look like hand-lettering. So why is there still a need for custom hand-lettering? The same reason there are so many fonts available–that certain situation where nothing else will do…the glass slipper. Something ORIGINAL. It could be one simple word, a phrase, a sentence.
I have been hand-lettering for years and have never lost the desire or love of doing it. It's illustrating with letter forms. Here are some samples of my work; some that go back years, others much more recent. As you can tell, I'm partial to scripts.
